Smithy Cottage was the former Smithy for the area. A traditional stone building, the cottage has been restored to offer comfortable accommodation sleeping 4 adults and 2 children in 2 bedrooms each with an en suite shower & WC.


  • Smithy Cottage is traditional stone building dating around 1850 and has been carefully restored and extended to offer comfortable accommodation.

  • Travel cot and high chair are available.
  • Electricity, oil fired central heating and logs for the wood burner are included in the cost

    Booking Terms & Rules

    1. Payment

    1. Bookings will only be confirmed of receipt of a completed booking form and a non refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost if more that 6 weeks from booking

    1.2 Full fee is payable 6 weeks prior to the arrival date on your booking from.  Please note no further statement will be issued. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and loss of deposit.

    1.3 The whole fee is due for bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to commencement 

    2. Cancellation by Client

    2.1 All cancellations should be in writing

    2.2 If less than 6 weeks notice of cancellation is given after payment of the balance fee, 100% of the total fee will be retained.

    2.4 Bookings are non transferable.

    3. Cancellation by Owner

    In the unlikely event of a reservation being cancelled by the owner, payment will be refunded in full

    4. Damage

    4.1 It is the responsibility of the hirer to replace or to reimburse the owner for any breakages or damage caused to the property caused by misuse or abuse.

    4.2 Please report any accidental breakages or damage to the owner so that      

    repairs/replacements can be organised.

      

    5. Pets

    5.1 Pets are welcome however; please understand that we are in a rural area with farming livestock around. Dogs MUST be controlled.

    5.2 Please – No pets in the bedrooms or on the furniture.

    6. Smoking

    Smithy Cottage is NON-smoking. If you are a smoker please restrict it to the patio area  – thank you.
